After 11 + years managing operations in a vast array of industries, I sat down in a meeting with my boss and told them success in my role would be making myself redundant, so that is what I did. I realised that I can streamline processes and find so many efficiencies in a reasonably short space of time, that I could hand over aspects of my role to others to take forward.
I then thought that all start-ups, scale-ups and other SME businesses could benefit from this approach, and I could work with them to drastically improve their businesses and support when needed, saving them time and money through increased productivity. I had achieved all I could achieve at a single place of work, so it was time to offer my services to the masses.
